Go Pretty Confidently! Handbag Collection

“Go Pretty Confidently!” Handbag Collection project is a handbag drive to benefit women and teen girls in need. After all, a new handbag can help any woman walk more confidently. Think about how you walk a little taller with a new bag on your shoulder! A simple act on your part may be just the thing to give another woman a little boost of confidence to realize her dreams. And it’s as easy as 1-2-3-4!

1.  Rally the women in your organization, community, family, and friends to go through their closets  and donate new and gently-used handbags. Ask them to bring bags to a meeting or provide drop-off boxes at businesses around town.


2. Write encouraging notes that include the Confidence Coalition website address (www.confidencecoalition.org) and include a note in each bag.


3. Choose a local organization that serves underprivileged teens and/or women. Ideas include a battered women’s shelter, Dress For Success, local Girl Scout council, etc. And deliver the handbags to the organization you choose.


4. Don’t forget to let us know if you hold a collection so we can keep track of all the great things people are doing. Together we will make a difference!

Create your healthy, glowing, tanning look using bronzers.

When I think of bronzer, it usually brings on a sensation of warmth, glowing, beaches, and SUMMER. Summer is all about the bronze, ethereal glow. Applying bronzer is a great way to add a healthy glow all over the face an to even out color differences, especially through the neck. If you’re intrigued by bronzer but don’t know how to apply it, keep reading.

1. Always start with clean face. Dirt and oils that mix with these types of products can cause breakouts.

2. Once you’ve cleansed and moisturized your face, you can apply bronzer with or without foundation. If you use foundation, put it on prior to applying bronzer.

3. Lightly swirl a large fluffy brush around the bronzing powder. It’s always easier to start off with less bronzer and build on it if it’s not enough than to take away if you’ve applied too much.

4. Once the brush has pulled some of the product, lightly tap the brush to rid it of any extra product.

5. Make the “fish face” and lightly apply to the, now prominent, hollows of your cheeks. Blend till a natural finish is achieved. If you feel you need or want a little more, repeat the previous step and apply a little more.

6. Apply a light dusting around the perimeter of your face for added dimension and bronzed goodness.

• Use minimum foundation and makeup if you wear bronzer on your face. Overdoing will make your complexion look too orange, dirty and and unnatural.
• Your makeup should be simple.
• Always remember to apply bronzer on those areas where the sun usually hits.
• Check your bronzer in daylight. This will help you to find the streaks, patches and overly done areas more easily.
